La Libertad, El Salvador

La Libertad is only about a half hour drive from the El Salvador airport.  We will be close to where the following pictures were taken for a time this winter. Using the American dollar as their currency is an advantage to us.  No exchange rate, and no calculating a "real price" in a foreign monetary amount.

La Libertad is a true surf destination, but for food lovers, the fresh seafood rivals many coastal areas of the us for freshness and price.  Being the only coastline, the Pacific coast offers a plethora of beautiful sunsets to bring your day to a blissful conclusion.

Great surf breaks abound in the La Libertad area.  Pick a left to right break or visa versa.  Specific break information and tide charts are for the asking around town.  Enjoy the surf and all El Salvador has to offer.  We hope to live blog from our beach side rental home this winter near La Libertad.  Keep a watch for pictures and valuable information about the area.
